Was born 22nd January 1900 in Hampden, Massachusetts, USA.

Eleanor seems to have been named after her Aunt Eleanor Ann GLOVER who married James PROCTOR

Eleanor attended the Lawrence Conservatory of music in Appleton, Wisconsin, leaving in December 1918. She took 1 French class in the 1st semester of the 1918/19 school year and her home address is listed as McKinley Street, Appleton Wisconsin.

Eleanor is next document as being at the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, Massachusetts from 16th September 1920 until 9th June 1921. I believe she was there from 1918, but cannot find documentry evidence of this.

In 1926 Eleanor is documented as arriving back in America aboard the SS Suffren, which had sailed from Le Havre, France on the 29th September 1926 and arrived in New York on the 9th October 1926. Her address is given as 305 E Mc Kinley Street, Appleton, Wisconsin.
